Det Trondheimsbaserte metalbandet Apeiron Restraint legger ut på en halsbrekkende turné i Sør-Norge fra 17. juli til 13. august. Med på laget har vi band fra hele Norges metal-miljø. Som en omreisende festival vil to nye band følge Apeiron Restraint hver gang de vender tilbake til en by.
Sju spillesteder i sju byer. 28 konserter på 28 dager; 800 mil på veien. Turneen er i stor grad selvfinansiert, Apeiron Restraint booker alle band og spillesteder selv. Bandet er sin egen label, sitt eget management og bookingbyrå. De aktuelle byene er i ordnet rekkefølge: Aalesund, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Oslo, Lillehammer og Trondheim.
Dette er galskap. Dette er upløyd mark. Dette har aldri blitt gjennomført i Norge tidligere. Gullrutevinnerne i News on Request (produsentene av bl.a. Himmelblå og Død Snø) sender derfor et kamera-crew med bandet for å lage en 50 min dokumentar om turneen. Apeiron Restraint lanserer i den anleding en PledgeMusic-kampanje, ikke for å finansiere turneen, men for å bistå dokumentarfilmskaperne.
Apeiron Restraint will commence on an epic journey this summer. Taking place in the southern half of Norway from July 17 - August 13, we will lay out on the Insurgency Tour: A Tour in Four Acts. Joining us are awesome bands from a wide range of the Norwegian metal scene. As a nomad metal circus, a couple of fresh bands will play with us every week when the we return to town.
Seven venues in seven cities. 28 concerts in 28 days, 8000km on the road. The tour is largely financed out of the band members’ pockets. Apeiron Restraint is now working as a label, management, and booking agency as we book all the bands and venues personally. The locations for the tour will be, in order: Aalesund, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Oslo, Lillehammer, and Trondheim.
This is madness. A tour concept like this has never been done in Norway ever. The film documentarists from News on Request (known for producing Himmelblå and Død Snø) are sending a camera crew along on the road to make a 50 minute documentary about the tour. We are launching a PledgeMusic campaign to help materialize the creation of this documentary.
